Was madman forced to take down the site?
The only information I have is from comments left by others who are also looking for the great site that used to be here:

The rumours are cirrculating, and if anyone has any information please share it with the rest of us. We can only speculate and hope that madman is okay and that he might return to posting his beloved blog.

I myself only found this site last week. Of course I read almost every single post. It was priceless material. A true treasure trove. Something I looked forward to reading each day. Please come back Madman!!!!
Maybe he just disabled it to work on it during the weekend. and you stole the url....
Who know, his blog guide is disabled too that's more strange. He will post news soon enough.

if DG found out about the site and he had to shut it down... is it really smart of you to have his same URL with a link to the cached version of the site? you could be getting him in even more trouble.
oh i miss him so much ive been reading since april. i still have DG pic burned in my head.

Sad to see he was gone. he was my daily dose of good humor...
However, he said on his last post he would be out for 4 days (long weekend).
Let's see if he comes back after that...

Unfortunately I doubt that he's just out for the weekend, or re-doing his web-site. The reason I grabbed this URL was just to check and see if it was truely gone. I was trying to find out what happened to the real site. Madman as removed all his sites. Check his other sites:

you guys, I'm panicking. My day starts with Madman. EVERY DAY. I don't know if I can make it without him...plus, we won't know if DG gives birth to Satan's baby. I'm FREAKING OUT. He needs to come on here and post.

I got a comment on my blog from madman that said that he had almost gotten fired and had to kill the blogs. He asked me to delete his comments as soon as I read them. I hope he hasn't really been fired. Someone posted his name, work address and phone numbers on another blog I read. Probably a bunch of dickheads have been calling his work harrassing people. This is bad news for all of us. I hope he is okay. So much for free speech.
Damn...I read his stuff everyday.

This is like some bad horror movie, all the top blogs are dissapearing, Van, Mike, Madman...One by one, being taken out...Let's hope they all come back, and Madman we're all here for you man.
What happened to free speech? I talk about the people I work with all the time on my blog (though not generally in the same way.) Grr! I already miss Madman and the rants about DG. I was really looking forward to hearing about all the craziness when the baby was born.

Someone left an anonymous comment on my blog, giving madman's name and work phone numbers. I think it's cruel. And I don't know why they put it on MY blog. Did that happen to anyone else?
